For our site in Geneva we are looking for a

Software Engineer HMI (100%)

to develop HMI/SCADA project applications for our Power Systems equipment.

Your Mission

Candidates for this position are software application engineers with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in supervision and communication interfaces.

In this role, you will:

  • Program, design, implement, and test supervision software
  • Take on technical support on applications projects/customers.
  • Support and carry out continuous improvement activated within our base applications.
  • Travel internationally to clients (10-15%)

Your Profile

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

Education and training:

– Master’s (MS) degree in Computer / Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with software focus.

– Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in IEC 61131-3 standard languages and human-machine interface.

Experience:

Proven experience of 2-4 years minimum with designing and programming process automation and energy controls, in particular

  • 2-4 years of experience in design of local HMI/SCADA interfaces.
  • Configuration and commissioning of supervision systems
  • Programming of industrial network switchs and routers
  • Experience with communication protocols: IEC61850, IEC60870-5-104, DNP3.0, MODBUS

Beneficial:

  • Experience implementing controls solutions using PLC and programming HMIs
  • Familiar with software source control packages: Git/GitLab experience is a plus.

We are looking for a highly motivated fast learner who can work independently with minimal guidance.

Languages:

English (B2 level); French minimum B2 level

Skills:

Ideally, you possess the following:

– Conscientious follow-up and documentation skills

– Ability to connect into a small team and project setup quickly, but equally capable to work independently

– Good communication and intercultural skills

– Agile and Lean software development practices

– Familiarity with communication protocols for Power Systems protocol
